The Imperial is one of Cork’s oldest hotels, on the South Mall in the city centre, a minute from the shops, restaurants and nightlife. Michael Collins spent his last night here.

The Escape Spa has treatments, an aroma and salt grotto and tropical showers; the Vitality Suite with hydrotherapy pool and steam room is pre-booked for a fee. Helena’s does food and cocktails, Lafayette’s coffee, and Fitzgerald’s is the main bar.
